Helping with the Recycling

Genevieve has learned from a very early age that recycling is good for the planet.  Since she's gotten so helpful around the house lately, she volunteered to break down the cardboard boxes for the recycling bin.

The girls are getting older and more responsible. They have started pitching in around the house with chores such as washing clothes. . .

Since they're so helpful with washing and sorting their diapers, maybe the next thing they'll help out with to is changing them, too.

I've been painting little monsters while the girls nap.  Today they had a rather lengthy morning nap, so I got several underpaintings done before turning back into my alter-ego, Superdad.

I am Mr. Mom this summer while I'm off from teaching and Momma T works.  This means that I play music during lunch time and sing blue versions of kiddie songs in the afternoon.  Genevieve thinks this is a pretty catchy tune.

 Genevieve still hasn't quite learned how to salute, but she did say the following:

"Oh Blah Dada Dada Gah!"

(which means "Happy Mother's Day")

 We began the day by making Mommy her favorite breakfast: pancakes!

No wonder Genevieve slept in on Tuesday. She knew she had a busy week ahead of her. She cut her first tooth on Wednesday and now this:

Genevieve has been doing a lot of talking lately. Dada, gaga and hi were her first words, but this morning she woke up and said "Happy Birthday Mommy" what a sweetie.
